Built 1952 for the coastal express service along the Norwegian coast, the Hurtigruten as Hakon Jarl Sold in 1982 to become a hotel and restaurant vessel in the port of Oslo. Later hotel/ party centre in Antwerp, Belgium, but as the docks were being redeveloped she had to be relocated. A new berth could not be found and she left for the scrapyard. Because of the asbestos onboard she was laid-up in Sluiskil, The Netherlands for two years before scrapping could commence.
